Criminal Defense Practice Areas

I practice all aspects of criminal defense law (except for traffic tickets). Typically, people contact me about:

  1. Current charges like a recent arrest or an investigation by law enforcement
  2. Post-arrest representation like an appeal or writ of habeas corpus
  3. Clearing Record Cases like expunction or nondisclosure

Current Charges

If you need a criminal lawyer  for a pending case or if law enforcement is investigating you in Houston, Harris County or in the state of Texas, please Contact Me at (713) 487-7575.

I believe the best way to hire an attorney is to tell them the facts of your case and listen to their strategy. I invite you to contact me now to discuss your case and hear how I can help resolve it.

Post Arrest Representation

A jury has found you guilty, and you are unhappy with the verdict. Or, you pled guilty to a PSI and are unhappy with the judge’s sentence.  Or two years ago, you accepted a plea deal that cannot be erased from your criminal history.

In Texas, there are three ways to challenge a sentence:

  1. The Direct Appeal
  2. An Application for a Writ of Habeas Corpus
  3. A Pardon

Clearing Records Cases

The two ways to clear an adult criminal record in Texas are Expunction and Non-Disclosure.

Expunction basically applies to dismissed cases; not guilty verdicts; and completed deferred adjudications on Class C misdemeanors.

Non-Disclosure seals a completed deferred adjudication probation from the public.

I also handle juvenile sealing records cases.  Juvenile sealing applies to crimes committed while the defendant was ten to sixteen years old.
